Elegant and minimalist might be the best words to describe this ring style. Modeled after a bronze Byzantine ring, some of the reasons for this style are a bit puzzling. It is much smaller than most other rings, with much less load bearing surface. Perhaps this was because it's historical users wielded other weapons and wanted a ring which would provide minimal interference? Perhaps they were worn over gloves? It is hard to say.
Where this ring does excel is as functional jewelry. If you were looking for a ring to wear every day in silver for example, something unobtrusive yet beautiful, this design would be a great choice.
We size all our rings on a virtually continuous spectrum for a perfect fit. No longer do you have to live with set sizes made for a hypothetical thumb. Measuring your thumb accurately though is still difficult, which is why we strongly recommend our customers use one of our Ring Sizers and order a set of three closely sized rings.
